Q: How do I get to the Secret Herb Garden by Public Transport?
A: The buses 15 and 4 (Ski slopes) or any buses that takes you to Ikea and a 15 minutes walk will bring you here.
I would also advise you to go on Google Map to have a clearer idea : Here

Q: How do I get to the Secret Herb Garden by bicycle?
From Edinburgh, use Lasswade Road to its junction with Gilmerton Station Road, then the traffic-free cycle route to Loanhead and take the exit at Station Road. At the traffic lights, go straight on, along The Loan (A768) SW for 1 mile, turning right into Pentland Industrial Estate. Follow the road between Ikea and Asda and at the traffic lights on A701 go straight on, signed “Pentland”. We are 0.7 miles along this road, on the right.
~45 minutes from central Edinburgh and ~35 minutes from the Dalkeith area

Q: Are dogs allowed?
A: Dogs are allowed on the lead but only at the entrance, the front of the cafe & the plant sale area.

Q: Do you do lunch?
A: We offer high quality but simplistic food such as:
– Quiches, with Secret Herb Garden Salad
– Homemade Soup with freshly Baked Bread
– Homemade Cake, Scones and Secret Herb Garden Jam.

Q: Do I need to book a table?
A: You do not need to book a table to enjoy our food.
